Forest Schools

We always start our ‘Forest schools’ session by doing ‘sticky elbows’ so that we know how many children we have. Once down in the woods we love to play with mud, build homes for different animals, look for any seasonal changes, pretend the log circle is a train, climb trees, listen for different sounds, write with sticks and many other fun things. Sometimes we take the litter grabbers down with us and we all take turns to pick up any rubbish that may have blown into our wooded area. At the end of the session we all take responsibility for pegging our wellies together and then we tidily put them on the shelf. We also make sure that our waterproofs are hung properly on a coat hanger ready for the following week.
