Dear Parents/Guardians, Welcome to Lydney C. of E. Community School. We are a Church of England school and have strong links with St. Mary's Church. We are part of the Severn Federation Academy Trust. The strength of our schools lies with the teachers and staff who work together to create a climate where children feel happy, confident and secure. This in turn will enable children to be receptive to the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to achieve their full academic potential. Education has seen enormous changes in recent years and we have grown and developed whilst preserving our identity as an open, friendly community with a clear focus on children’s needs and interests. We believe it is essential to enthuse children so that they are given a platform for life long learning and this has been celebrated by OFSTED, who gave the school ‘Good’, in 2023.
