Class 3
Welcome to Class 3!
This is the happy home of our Year 3 children.
The class teacher is Miss Tordoff and our Teaching Assistants are Miss English and Mrs Lloyd.
We have a busy/exciting spring term ahead of us.
Our Spring term topic is
UNSTOPPABLE!
In History we will be exploring the Big Question 'Why did the Romans settle in England?".
We will then be learning about volcanoes in Geography, where we will explore how the Earth is structured and what causes a volcanic eruption.
Our current book for English is The Iron Man by Ted Hughes.
Here are a list of the other books we will be reading this term:
The Tin Forest by Helen Ward
Our Tower by Joseph Coehlo
Flood by Alvaro F. Villa
Escape from Pompeii by Christina Balit
Hurricane by David Wiesner
PE this term will be on a Monday and a Tuesday, this does occasionally change based on hall usage, so please if possible have your PE kit in school Monday to Friday.
We are lucky to take part in gardening on a Monday, so please ensure to bring wellies in as it sometimes can get a bit muddy!
Homework will be given out on a Friday and should be given back by Wednesday. Spellings will be practiced daily, with the test on Friday. Please support your child's learning by listening to them read and recording this in their reading record books. Encourage your child to practice their times tables on TTRS!
For more details on the learning that will take place this term, please look at the curriculum driver.
