In Science lessons we put a high level of importance on the development of scientific language, and it is a key element of our teaching of Science.  As Scientists, children are expected to use scientific language in all lessons. In Science lessons children are given opportunities to record their ideas and findings in writing.   Scientific discussions are central to our Science lessons and children are given frequent opportunities to talk, listen and to share their thinking and ideas. Science encourages children to question things and search for answers which could be by exploring things for themselves but also through researching which is an extremely useful life skill.
